21 Top WWE Studios Movies Every Fan Should Watch

Best WWE Studios MoviesPin

WWE Studios Movies usually include well-known actors and actresses in leading roles alongside WWE wrestlers.

The company collaborates with existing production and distribution businesses to bring the product to market at a lower cost to both sides.

Additionally, WWE Studios (previously WWE Films) is a Los Angeles-based WWE subsidiary founded in 2002 to develop and produce feature film properties for the company’s wrestlers and personnel.

In addition, when people think of WWE, they immediately think of the in-ring action that has made the brand such a global phenomenon.

However, due to WWE’s success and popularity, the corporation established its film studio, WWE Studios, which has produced a slew of films over the years. While not every movie is a success, many have proven enjoyable.

Over the years, the studio has produced diverse films, from animation to horror.

It has offered several WWE Superstars their first acting roles, which has led to even more opportunities.

There was little light at the end of the tunnel, with everyone from Triple H and John Cena to The Miz and Randy Orton starring in awful action flicks or unfunny comedies.

Things changed, however, when WWE decided to use their studio to develop movies with real actors instead of using their celebrities in minor roles.

Here are the Best WWE Studios Movies of all time;

1. The Rundown (2003)

Not every B-grade action film is made equal. One of the first WWE Studios films was a straight action film that was a lot of fun and, in some ways, even a fantastic movie.

Beck, a fearless bounty hunter—or recovery expert—and aspiring restaurateur, is persuaded to return home his unscrupulous boss’ adventure-seeking son, Travis, from the impassable Amazon jungle to save enough money to start his own modest business.

However, Beck is in for a rough trip in the dusty town of El Dorado, where the local tyrant and powerful mining magnate, Cornelius Hatcher, is also desperately seeking to track down Travis, the only person who knows the exact location of a valuable golden artifact.

Furthermore, Mariana, the feisty barmaid with a hidden motive, and Hatcher’s little army of whip-cracking gun-toting goons are now hunting for Beck and Travis, determined to find the rare statuette first.

Will they make it out of the bush alive? The top cast includes Dwayne Johnson, Christopher Walken, Rosario Dawson, Seann Williams Scott, and Jon Gries.

2. Fighting With My Family (2019)

Fighting With My Family is also one of the best WWE Studios movies. Without a doubt, Fighting With My Family is WWE Studios’ greatest and most successful film.

WWE had a significant global brand to try to market the movie. With The Rock actively involved and the lovely Florence Pugh taking the lead role, this seemed like a beautiful movie that non-wrestling fans could enjoy. Ricky, a former wrestler, and his wife Julia perform with Saraya and Zak’s children.

Additionally, when a brother and sister are allowed to audition for WWE, they discover that becoming a WWE Superstar necessitates far more than they ever thought.

The top cast includes Dwayne Johnson, Vince Vaughn, Lena Headey, Florence Pugh, and Nick Frost.

3. The Walking Tall (2004)

This is what a “feel-good” film should be. The Rock plays Chris Vaughn, a Special Forces sergeant.

Vaughn surprises his family by returning home, only to discover that his small town has become corrupted, thanks to Jay Hamilton and his gang of drug-dealing criminals.

However, Hamilton controls a crooked casino that generates most of the town’s revenue, although no one wins.

Additionally, Vaughn takes on the whole police force, Hamilton’s thugs (with a 2×4 to boot), and Hamilton himself after getting beaten up at the casino while standing up for his pals. He then proceeds to rule the entire town with Johnny Knoxville.

Isn’t it highly improbable? Yes, but it’s also a lot of fun. In the casino, he even drops a “Rock Bottom.” Some of the Top cast include Dwayne Johnson, Ashely Scott, Michael Bowen, Johnny Knoxville, and John Beasley.

4. Oculus (2013)

Oculus was undoubtedly one of the best WWE Studios movies for many reasons. For one thing, it generally received positive reviews, which is unusual for their films.

Additionally, it was highly profitable, given that the budget was only $5 million! It was also a rare WWE Studios film without any WWE stars.

Timothy “Tim” Allen Russell, 21, is released from a mental institution after his psychiatrist, Dr. Shawn Graham, determined that he has entirely healed from childhood trauma.

His father allegedly tortured and killed his mother before being slain by Tim. Kaylie, his sister, greets him in the parking lot and drives him home.

She then informs them they must destroy an ancient mirror she discovered while working at an auction company.

Furthermore, she then steals the mirror, prompting Tim to follow his sister and reminisce about their upbringing, including when his father, Alan, purchases a mirror for their new family home’s home office.

Meanwhile, when Kaylie and Tim witness a lady in their father’s workplace, Alan and Marie’s conduct shifts, resulting in a family tragedy.

Kaylie accuses the mirror of being the source of her problems and wants to destroy it with Tim.
