Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet also star as trans-Atlantic housewives who exchange houses for the holidays and learn about themselves (and true love).

Will they, however, be able to achieve their fairy-tale endings? All you have to do is watch this holiday classic to find out! 

2. A boy called Christmas

An extraordinary all-star cast stars in one of Netflix’s most anticipated Christmas movies of 2021. One of the best Christmas movies on Netflix is A Boy Called Christmas. 

Without a question, A Boy Called Christmas will be one of the most popular Netflix movies this winter.

Furthermore, A Kid Called Christmas is based on Matt Haig’s novel and depicts the story of Nikolas, a young boy who embarks on a spectacular Christmas odyssey.  

3. Dash & Lily

Even though it’s a TV show, you’ll probably watch all six episodes in one sitting. Dash & Lily is based on a young adult novel.  

And it’s about two clever teenagers who meet on an enormous scavenger hunt across New York.  

This series will have you wishing for season 2 because it is a half-sightseeing tour, part epistolary romance, and full of longing. 

4. A Christmas inheritance

Ellen, a socialite, must learn more about the actual spirit of the business she is about to inherit. And also visit the small town where it all began to inherit her father’s company.  

Andie MacDowell (Four Weddings and a Funeral) appears in this Netflix Original film. Which has a tremendously important, and timely message at its center about the value of supporting others.

5. Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey

This wonderful, lighthearted Christmas film stars John Legend and features his music. It follows a young girl on a mission to help her toymaker grandfather regain his greatest creation.  

However, the music (and dance routines) will stick in your head. And both adults and children will enjoy the touching plot. Look no further for a joyous Christmas film that feels fresh and original. 

6. A California Christmas

There won’t be a single speck of snow in this California-set film. Nonetheless, in this film, the holiday’s magical ability to unite people appears as strong as ever.  

Furthermore, Callie (Lauren Swickard) is trying to handle the ranch her family owns on her own. Joseph (Joshua Swickard) is trying to evict her from the property.  

What’s the best part? The couple in the film is based on a real-life married couple. Additionally, they first met during the filming of Roped, a Netflix film. 

7. A Christmas Prince

Since its release in 2017, this Netflix Original has been a fan favorite. And it’s still one of the best Christmas movies on Netflix to add to your watch list in 2021.  

Furthermore, it depicts an aspiring writer dispatched to another country to gather information on a promising young prince soon to be crowned king.  

We won’t give anything away about what happens next if you haven’t watched the movie yet, but the film’s two sequels.

8. The Princess Switch 3

For the third time in four holiday seasons, Vanessa Hudgens will reprise her role as Stacy De Novo and Lady Margaret Delacourt, Duchess of Montenaro.  

The Princess Switch is also one of the best Christmas movies on Netflix. Furthermore, the actor from High School Musical will repeat her role as Fiona and be seen in three separate roles.

9. The Knight Before Christmas

Who doesn’t enjoy a little time-traveling magic, especially around the holidays? A 14th-century knight named Cole Christopher Frederick Lyons. 

 He’s also been tasked with accomplishing an unknown quest before midnight on Christmas Eve, or he’ll never be able to return to his time or become a true knight. 

He is, however, transported to the current day, where he meets Brooke, a science teacher (Vanessa Hudgens). And viewers can’t help but wonder if he will ever return to his period.  

10. Hometown Holiday

If you’re looking for something cheesy, Hometown Holiday is the movie for you. Additionally, A career-obsessed lawyer comes to a small town for professional development.  

But only because of the love of a small-town girl does he reorient his value system.

However, he pauses and smells the roses, at one point, paying homage to Christmas movie stereotypes. 

11. Klaus

This charming animated Christmas film follows a privileged postal worker to his new post in a remote, disagreeable outpost. Klaus is one of the best Christmas movies on Netflix.  

He encounters a certain woodsman with a fluffy white beard and a penchant for toy-making.  

Furthermore, this film is imaginative and engaging as a new version of the Santa Claus myth.

With enough poignant moments and sweet scenes to make any grinch smile. This Christmas film received an Academy Award nomination. 

12. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

When this real-action rendition starring Jim Carrey was released in 2000. Who else wanted to live in Whoville? Just the two of us. Okay.  

Based on Dr. Seuss’ 1957 story of the same name, all of Whoville’s people enjoy Christmas, except for the hateful and spiteful Grinch.  

Furthermore, when a six-year-old girl named Cindy Lou takes an interest in the Grinch, he eventually learns the true meaning of the holiday season. 

However, this is one of the best Christmas movies on Netflix. because of practical jokes, fun carols, and an important lesson to be taught.

 13. Christmas with a view

Christmas With a View, which was released in 2018, is situated in one of the most magical and festive settings imaginable: a ski resort.  

When a celebrity chef, Shane Roarke, is named the resort’s new head chef, rumors abound, and Clara is less than enthusiastic about the prospect of working for him. 

However, only after they cross paths more frequently do they begin to wonder if they have more in common than they first imagined.

A successful radio DJ (and recent surviving spouse) looks forward to spending the holidays with his four spoilt children until he loses his job and must cut back over Christmas.

Sure, it’s not a conventional Christmas film, but there’s nothing more festive than a crackling fire. Additionally, If you don’t have a fireplace infusing your area with comfort is as easy as turning on this nearly-movie.  

However, it also features genuine crackles and pops, so pair it with your favorite Christmas music for a picture-perfect evening.  

Furthermore, the only drawback is that the video only lasts an hour, so you’ll have to restart it a few times if you want hours of fireside comfort. 

16. Holiday in the Wild

The story follows a mother as she sends her kid off to college. She’s also planning a second honeymoon with her hubby.

Only to continue on the journey alone after her spouse declares his intention to leave her—is a unique Christmas film. 

The former veterinarian rediscovers her love for animals while on safari and finds up staying at an elephant refuge for longer than expected. 

Where she delivers a strong message for elephant conservation (and, of course, meets a gorgeous man, played by Rob Lowe).  

17. Single All the Way

Peter is desperate to change his relationship status since he is tired of being condemned by his family for his perpetual status as a single guy.  

Furthermore, Peter convinces his friend Nick to spend the holidays with him as a last resort and pretends to be in a relationship before Peter’s family. 

However, when Peter’s mother puts him up on a blind date with attractive fitness trainer James, the plan backfires. 

18. Santa Girl

While fans of Christmas movies may be familiar with the idea of Santa Claus having a son in films like Arthur Christmas.  

Santa Girl follows Santa’s lone daughter on her trip. Cassie travels off to college, desperate to experience the “real world” before marrying Jack Frost

All the while keeping her renowned father and magical abilities hidden. Furthermore, Cassie’s commitment to the holiday season, her father, and her imminent marriage are all called into question after she meets Sam. Moreover, she questions what course her life should take. 

19. Dolly Parton’s Christmas on The Square

If Christine Baranski’s role as affluent Regina Fuller and Dolly Parton’s role as an Angel in this musical Christmas film isn’t enough to pique your interest.

The heartwarming plot will. It is also one of the best Christmas movies on Netflix. Furthermore, Regina may have returned to her hometown for the holidays to evict the locals and sell the land to a developer.  

However, a sequence of mysterious events and her sentimental memories prompt her to reconsider.

This Aardman special will premiere in the fall, just before the holidays. It will also be one of the greatest Netflix Christmas movies for families this year.

21. Shaun the Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas

The BBC has sold Netflix a one-off Shaun the Sheep Christmas special episode that will air in December 2021.
