This comedy-horror film stars Lupita Nyong’o and Josh Gadd. Lupita plays a teacher who must rescue her young kids from an unexpected zombie invasion in a zombie-infested world.  

However, the three will have to put their differences aside to save the kids and themselves with the help of a failing musician and a children’s TV personality star. 

2. Saint Maud

Saint Maud is not a pleasant watch, as it is a horrifying look into religious overzealousness from the perspective of a Catholic nurse. Who makes it her mission to “rescue” a woman nearing the end of her life.  

However, to be clear, that was done on purpose and is unquestionably praised. Furthermore, Hulu has a fantastic assortment of psychological horror films, and Saint Maud is among the best Halloween movies on Hulu.

Additionally, this immaculate doctor isn’t as innocent as he lets everyone believe. Lucy soon suspects something sinister is going on behind the doctor’s eyes and sets out to find out the truth. 

8. Children of the corn

Children of the Corn is one of the best Halloween movies ever. It follows the story of Isaac, a young evangelist.  

Who travels to Gatlin, Nebraska, and recruits all of the town’s youngsters to murder every adult in town.  

A young road trip couple stops in Gatlin to report a murder and seek assistance, but the town appears to be abandoned. They quickly find themselves stuck in Gatlin, with little hope of escaping alive.

The Ring’s accessibility works in its favor in many ways despite being more streamlined and less aggressive than the original Japanese film.

Patrick ‘Trick’ Weaver massacred his friends at a costume party on Halloween night in 2015.  

However, He manages to flee while in police custody, but not before being shot five times by an officer.

Furthermore, Trick is thought to be dead, but things take a bloody turn when a masked killer appears every Halloween with blood on his mind. 

13. Let the Right One In

Let the Right One In is a “vampire” film because it has a bloodsucker as a protagonist. However, it is not cut from the same cloth as most modern vampire films.  

Additionally, at its core, this Swedish film is about two solitary and lonely youngsters who meet in a suffocatingly harsh world, and this isn’t just because of the cold.

18. Elvira, Mistress of the Dark

Elvira is forced to travel to small-town Massachusetts to retrieve an inheritance from a recently deceased great-aunt, and ghostly mayhem ensues.

19. Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters
