The Complete List of Fast and Furious Movies in Order

Fast and Furious Movies in OrderPin

The Fast and the Furious franchise consists of 12 films, in order of chronology. The films were produced between 2001 and 2023.

A thirteenth movie is set to be released in 2023. This franchise has grossed over $2 billion at box offices worldwide, making it one of the highest-grossing film franchises ever.

Actors Vin Diesel and Paul Walker lead the series, each with five appearances.

Each of the franchise’s movies has merits, but Fast & Furious is one of those franchises that only gets better as it goes along.

You’ll have fun with all of these films, but there’s a powerful argument to be made for 4-6, which comprise probably my favorite movie trilogy of all time.

This list of fast-and-furious movies in order of chronology is created to help you find the correct order of these incredible films and have a more fast-and-furious experience if you don’t want to watch all of them.

1. The Fast and the Furious(2001)

First in the Fast and Furious movies in order of chronology is The Fast and the Furious(2001).

Los Angeles street runner Dominic Toretto falls under LAPD allegations as many high-speed electronic trucks shake the area.

Brian O’Connor, chief executive of the LAPD, joins the Toretto group of high-level skills to condemn Toretto.

However, O’Connor finds himself fascinated by this new world and falls in love with Toretto’s sister, Mia. As the rival team gains power, O’Connor decides where his loyalty lies.

2. The Turbo Charged Prelude for 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)

Second, in the Fast and Furious movies in order of chronology is The Turbo Charged Prelude for 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003).

A short, non-verbal film closes the gap between the first and second movies. It was released on DVD 2 Fast 2 Furious, but now you can watch it on YouTube above. Turbo Charged explains how the LAPD arrested Brian for releasing Dom.

This movie also explains how Brian became a street king in such a short time despite being a wanted man. Also, Friday Night Lights star Minka Kelly is seen as a character known only as ‘Girl.’ Sadly, he did not return.

3. 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)

Third, in the Fast and Furious movies’ order of chronology, is 2 Fast 2 Furious(2003). This sequence focuses on former police officer Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker), who traveled from Los Angeles to Miami to start over.

Participating in a street race in his new hometown, Brian becomes friends with car-savvy Tej (Chris “Ludacris” Bridges) and Suki (Devon Aoki).

Still, his race ends when federal agents catch him, and he has to agree. And the FBI. Working with new colleague Roman Pearce (Tyrese), Brian embarks on the daunting task of downgrading a powerful drug dealer.

4. Los Bandoleros (2009)

Next on the Fast and Furious movies in order of chronology is Los Bandoleros (2009).

This second short DVD film further helps inform fans before Vin returns to Fast & Furious and introduces new characters Han, Rico, and Tego (though Han originally appeared in Tokyo Drift, but we will get into that).

It shows what Dom was doing in the Dominican Republic and how he rekindled his relationship with Letty.

Ironically, one thing that doesn’t explain how Brian went from street dude at the end of 2 Fast to an FBI agent kicking at Fast & Furious, but we’ll let it slip.

5. Fast & Furious (2009)

Next on the Fast and Furious movies in order of chronology is Fast and Furious (2009).

Returning to the streets where it all started, the two men rejoined the two women to blow up muscles, thumbs up, and foreign cars in Los Angeles and down in the Mexican desert.

When the crime took them back to LA, former fugitive Dom Toretto led his fight with agent Brian O’Connor.

However, as they are forced to face a shared enemy, Dom and Brian must allow a new indefinite trust if they hope to defeat him.

From convoy heists to the precise tunnel that crawls on international lines, two men will find the best way to retaliate: push the limits of what can happen behind the wheel.

6. Fast Five (Fast & Furious 5) (2011)

The next movie on our Fast and Furious movies in order of chronology is Fast Five (Fast & Furious 5) (2011).

Former police officer Brian O’Conner has teamed up with former Prince Dom Toretto on the other side of the law.

Since Brian and Mia Toretto broke Dom in custody, they have crossed several borders to escape the authorities.

Now that they have been returned to the corner of Rio de Janeiro, they must complete a final mission to gain independence.

Subsequently, as they put together their exceptional team of top runners, the unsuspecting allies know their only outlet is to find the best ways to deal with a corrupt business person who wants to die.

But he is not the only one on their trail. State-runner Luke Hobbs, with an intense nose, never misses his goal. When they were assigned to track down Dom and Brian, he and his striking crew began attacking to apprehend them.

However, as his men travel through Brazil, Hobbs learns that he cannot distinguish between good and bad boys. Now, he must rely on his intuitions to catch his prey before anyone else can ride it down first.

7. Fast & Furious 6 (2013)

Next on our Fast and Furious movies in order of chronology is Fast & Furious 6 (2013). Since Dom (Diesel) and Brian’s (Walker) Rio heist overthrew the monarchy and left their staff with $ 100 million, our heroes are scattered worldwide.

But their inability to return home and live forever in the harvest has left their lives incomplete.

At the time, Hobbs (Johnson) tracked down a group of dangerously skilled drivers in 12 countries.

Their intellectual (Evans) was assisted by a second cruel commander who revealed the love Dom thought was dead, Letty (Rodriguez).

The best way to stop the crime is to cross the street, so Hobbs asks Dom to reunite with his striking party in London. Payment? Full amnesty for all to return home and make their families perfect again.

8. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006)

That is where the actual confusion comes from. Although this was the third film to be released, it was the sixth film in a row.

This side step to Tokyo brought down Dom and Brian and focused on ‘drifting king’ Sean. They could easily have kept this as a spin-off film that had little to do with the franchise in general, but with an authentic geek style; they made the film’s climax an essential tool for editing a non-fiction poem that came nine years later.

All of this happens to Han, who is killed in the film. Still, everyone loved him so much that they devised a way to get him back in the story with an inevitable delay (concluding with a fun conversation about his ‘Tokyo move’ at every opportunity).

9. Furious 7 (Fast & Furious 7) (2015)

Dominic and his team think they have left behind a professional life. They had defeated international terrorist Owen Shaw and went their separate ways.

But now, Shaw’s brother, Deckard Shaw, has gone out and killed workers one by one in retaliation.

Worse still, Somali terrorists named Jakarde and a shadowy government official called “Mr. None” compete to steal a computer terrorist program called “The Eye of God,” which can turn any technological device into a weapon.

On the other hand, Torretto must reunite with his team to stop Shaw and restore the Eye of God program while embroiled in a struggle between terrorists and the United States government.

Furious 7 takes the ninth spot in this timeline of fast and furious movies in order of chronology.

10. The Fate of the Furious (Fast & Furious 8) (2017)

Now that Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez) are on their honeymoon, Brian (Paul Walker) and Mia (Jordana Brewster) have resigned from the game. The rest of the staff have been released.

Continuing, The Globetrotting Team has found an everyday life. But when an unsuspecting woman seduces Dom into a crime-ridden world that seems to escape and the betrayal of those close to her, they will face trials that will test them more than ever.

From the shore of Cuba and the streets of New York City to the icy plains of the arctic Barents Sea, special forces will travel around the globe to stop the anarchist from stirring up trouble on the world stage and bringing home the man who made himself. Family.

11. Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw (2019)

Brixton Lorr is an adapted warrior with superhuman strength, intelligence, and a deadly pathogen that can wipe out half of the world’s population.

It is now bad enough to dismiss attorney Luke Hobbs and lawmaker Deckard Shaw to put aside their past disparities and work together to prevent a seemingly immortal Lorr from destroying humanity.

12. Fast and Furious 9 (2021)

Finally, on our list of fast and furious movies in order of chronology, Dom Toretto lives a quiet life outside the grid with Letty and her son, but they know danger looms over the peaceful horizon.

In this case, that threat forces Dom to face the sins of the past to save his loved ones. His team is meeting soon to stop a devastating plot by a skilled assassin and the best driver they have ever met – Dom’s estranged brother.

Fast and Furious is one of the most successful action movie series of all time, and its fans have been in a frenzy.

Do you find yourself unable to keep track of all the F&F movies and sequels? Did you have to miss that one because it was in another country on another continent at an inconvenient time? I don’t want to ruin anything for yourself, just in case you missed some timeline!

13. Fast X (2023)

In this installment, Dom faces his most dangerous opponent yet: Dante Reyes (Jason Statham), the son of drug lord Hernan Reyes from “Fast Five.”

Seeking revenge for his father’s death, Dante embarks on a mission to destroy everything Dom holds dear, forcing the team to confront their past and protect their future.

The movie features the return of many familiar faces from the franchise, including Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), Roman (Tyrese Gibson), and Tej (Ludacris).

It also introduces new characters like Tess (Brie Larson) and brings back fan favorites like Han (Sung Kang) and Cipher (Charlize Theron).

“Fast X” delivers on the franchise’s trademark blend of outrageous stunts, exotic locations, and family-focused drama. The film takes viewers on a wild ride through various international locales, including Rome, London, Brazil, and Antarctica, each setting the stage for increasingly elaborate and physics-defying action sequences.

Critics have noted that while the plot may be convoluted, the film succeeds in delivering the adrenaline-pumping thrills that fans of the series have come to expect.

The chemistry between the ensemble cast remains a highlight, with the themes of family and loyalty continuing to serve as the emotional core of the story.

As the first part of a planned trilogy to conclude the main “Fast & Furious” saga, “Fast X” sets the stage for an epic finale while pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in action cinema.

With this article, you can finally see every Fast and Furious movie for your viewing pleasure.
