The game-changers at The Jim Henson Company created a made-for-television film. It premiered on Lifetime on Nov. 15, 2015.

The Plot
Tim and Annie are invited to a farm by their now-divorced father to spend the holidays with their quirky Aunt, Cly.
Without electronics or wi-fi, the two become restless and set out to discover the Howling Hoodoo. Legend has it that a ten-foot monster lurks in the woods.
They also come upon the devious neighbor Eldridge Slump’s plot involving illegal turkey activities. As well as his farmworker minions Buzz and Junior.
There’s also a plan for Eldridge to take over Aunt Cly’s property. The Emmersons must uncover Slump’s plot and save the day with the help of some new creature friends: Squonk, Zorp, Burble, and Thring.
Mary Steenburgen, Jay Harrington, Graham Verchere, Genevieve Buechner, Reese Alexander, Gabe Khouth, Peter New, and Linden Banks are the actors in this film.
In addition, Fast 9 star Ludacris narrates it. Turkey Hollow began as “The Musical Monsters of Turkey Hollow,” a narrative penned by Jerry Juhl for one of Jim Henson’s potential specials.
Some of the puppets were created to get the look. Some of them are still in the records.
Jim Henson’s backyard was used to photograph Lisa and Cheryl Henson as a test to assess how the puppets would appear outside of a theatre.
The special was supposed to be shot on location. The graphic novel adaptation of The Musical Monsters of Turkey Hollow was released in 2014.
