How to Use Telegram Stickers in WhatsApp for AndroidPin

In October 2018, WhatsApp launched its stickers feature, which created a buzz even though WhatsApp was late to the party.

Chat apps like Viber, Hike, Telegram, and others have since had them as an extra feature. WhatsApp aims to give a strong fight by adding features for stickers.

The app comes pre-installed with just seven sticker packs. However, you can create a personalized sticker for WhatsApp.

In addition to creating your stickers, you can also import some from other chat apps like Telegram.

In this article, we’ll tell you how to use your telegram stickers in WhatsApp for Android.

Meanwhile, to use your Telegram stickers on WhatsApp, you must download them first from Telegram and then import them into WhatsApp. Here are the steps in detail.

1. Download Telegram Stickers

Downloading stickers from Telegram involves three significant steps. First, you must get the sticker pack link and then download its ZIP file using the StickerDownloader bot. After that, you have to extract the ZIP file.

Get the Sticker Pack Link

Telegram allows you to download both individual and full sticker packs. To download an entire sticker pack, kindly follow the steps below:

Step 1: Open the Telegram app and tap on the three-bar icon at the top left corner. Then, go ahead and select Settings.

Step 2: You will receive a few options at the bottom, including the Settings. Then, the bot will send you a message asking you to select the output format. Select “webp” only. There are two important things to mention here. First and foremost, you will get the Settings option at the bottom, but if you don’t see it, merely type Settings and then send it to the bot. Then choose the webp format. Secondly, by now, you must be wondering why you are supposed to select only the webp format. That is because Telegram allows you to download stickers in all formats. That’s when you tell it to download a pack; it will share the ZIP file for all formats such as png, jpeg, and webp. But we only need the webp format for WhatsApp. The reason we selected that.

Step 3: Now go ahead and paste the sticker pack link that you copied earlier above in the StickerDownloadBot chat thread. You’ll get a message that says the ZIP file will be available soon.

Note: You can also download individual stickers as well. But for that, you will have to send it to the StickerDownloadBot. You will get it in the webp format in a ZIP file. The rest of the steps remain the same.

Extract ZIP File

Now, you will need to extract the content of the ZIP file, and for that, you can use a File Manager like ES Explorer or Solid Explorer that supports ZIP extractor. Or download a ZIP extractor from the Google Play Store.

Once you have extracted the ZIP file, the stickers will be saved in Telegram >> Telegram Documents >> Sticker pack name. You must then move this Sticker pack folder to the main directory in your internal memory, or you can put it inside the Pictures folder on your device, as the app that we are going to use to import it into WhatsApp does not recognize this directory.

2. Import Stickers to WhatsApp

  1. Step 1: Download and install personal stickers for WhatsApp on your device.
  2. Step 2: Launch the app, and you will see the sticker pack folder here. Tap on “Add” next to it. A pop-up will ask you to confirm. Then tap on Add.
